Just looking at Guys and Dolls i felt was not enough to create a strong idea to help start designing my set. I looked at the stage show of Sunset Boulevard which shows that Film Noir can be successful on stage, with the help of a few aspects. Number one the lighting, i has to be dark and atmospheric that creates dramtic shadows. Number two the set must be simple using a couple of key ojects that straight away set the loaction. All of this is helping me create a clear idea in my mind of what my set will need to potray my chosen genre and cofirms what i felt about the Guys and Dolls set.
